I have a 2008 yamaha f40btlr outboard I recently could not start the engine and statrted troubleshooting I went throught the entire ignition system and besides no spark i could only find one problem problem which was with the stator I made the following measurements on the stator Bill, as i said above, person bill, as i said above, personally think they were a better motor than their reputation My dad had a 60 horse chrysler for years and was still running great when he sold the boat after running it for about 15 years With yearly maintenance any outboard that runs is a good motor Have a 2000 honda 130 and yesterday my main relay assembly caught on fire Mystery (on a bf75a), we were out, and then noticed when we got home the following small hose not connected I tried to feel for where it should connect to Hands got greasy, but did not find it Anything to do with the hydraulics I cant figure out how to remove the fuel filter to clean/replace I would think the outer plastic cover unscrews to reveal the internal filter, but i cant seem to unscrew it and i didnt want to crack the plastic Its mercury part #87946a13 (outboard serial # 0a132113) do i. I have a 1975 85 hp evinrude 8 i have a 1975 85 hp evinrude 85593e I went to parts store to get correct champion spark plug l77j4 but they did not have it Crossed it over to an autolite 2634 It had champion 8883 in it and i dont think its the correct plug so i want to change it Want to do away with vro completely, i have a 438566 fuel pump, i know it calls for a 438599 can i use the 438566 pump instead if not why?
